A poster for Giant Squid Appreciation Week, an week-long event this spring.

The Chair of Giant Squid Appreciation Week was Jon Cannon, and it's him I thank for the impetus behind the poster, as well as the fact.

The squid linework is from UNESCO, at [link] It is not actually a squid.

I thought the paper stock was from TSPStock. His stuff is great, but it turns out that it isn't. Now I'm desperately trying to figure out where I got it...

Is that an actual fact? that the squid can jump almost 100 feet. And is that high or far? That's pretty fucking frightening :|
:iconwackiest:
Crap. I can't jump as far as a giant squid!

Nice job! Made me chuckle. :D

The poster rocks ass, by the way. I like the old asian sun-flag texture you used in the background.

really rocks :) Great peace of work!

Did you do the squid?

Thank you very much! I didn't do the squid (it came from UNESCO). Their jump-distance is at the moment unverified, but in any case we should watch out.
